Acceptable Use Policy

The rules for using Sigora to source leads. These exist to keep prospecting legal, respectful, and effective.

Last updated: June 2026

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use Sigora and forms part of our Terms of Service. Violating it may result in suspension or termination, without refund for serious violations.

2. You are the sender of record

Sigora finds leads; it does not send messages on your behalf. When you reach out, with your own email, LinkedIn, or any other tool, using data you sourced from Sigora, that communication is legally yours. You are responsible for its content and for complying with all laws that apply to your outreach.

Data Sigora sources is licensed to you solely for your own B2B outreach (the "permitted purpose"). When you obtain and use lead data, you act as the controller of that data for your outreach and are responsible for its lawful use, including any notices, legal basis, and opt-out handling that applies. You may not resell, license, broker, or redistribute it, or use it to build or augment a database, list, or product for third-party access.

3. Legal compliance you must observe

CAN-SPAM Act (United States)

  • Don't use false or misleading header information or deceptive subject lines.
  • Identify the message as an advertisement where required.
  • Include a valid physical postal address.
  • Provide a clear, working opt-out mechanism, and honor opt-out requests within 10 business days.

GDPR & ePrivacy (EU/EEA)

  • Have a valid legal basis for contacting a prospect (typically legitimate interest for B2B).
  • Identify yourself and the purpose of your message, and respect the recipient's right to object.
  • Honor erasure and objection requests promptly.

Third-party platforms you reach out on

  • Use only accounts you are authorized to use, and comply with the terms of any platform you send through (email, LinkedIn, or otherwise).
  • No spam, harassment, or abusive automation.
  • Respect each platform's connection and messaging limits, do not attempt to exceed safe volumes.

4. Prohibited practices

  • Purchased or rented third-party contact lists.
  • Untargeted mass spam, or sending at volumes designed to evade safety limits.
  • Illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, phishing, or social-engineering content.
  • Harassment, threats, hate, or discrimination.
  • Targeting minors, or processing special-category (sensitive) personal data such as health data.
  • Promoting illegal goods/services, malware, or infringing content.
  • Misrepresenting your identity, company, or affiliation.
  • Reselling, licensing, brokering, or redistributing data obtained through Sigora, or using it to build or augment a database, list, or product for third-party access.

5. Volume & safety limits

Sigora applies fair-use limits on sourcing to protect the integrity of the platform and its data sources. You are responsible for how you reach out afterwards: do not send untargeted mass spam, evade any platform's limits, automate abusive behavior, or operate in a way that risks the integrity of the tools you use or the Sigora platform.

6. Consequences of violation

Depending on severity, we may issue a warning, temporarily suspend your account, or terminate it immediately for serious violations. No refund is provided for terminations due to serious AUP violations. You remain liable for any harm caused by your misuse.

7. Reporting

To report abuse or a message sent through Sigora, contact contact@sigora.eu. If you received outreach and want your data removed, use sigora.eu/opt-out.
